Faculty

Teacher: Ms. Mircea Lemus

Hello, my name is Mircea Lemus. I have been working at Toluca Lake Early Education Center for 4 years and have been with Los Angeles Unified District Early Childhood Education for 14 years. I started my journey as an Early Educator first as a substitute ECE Aide and advanced through the ranks to become an Early Education Teacher and served as the Head Teacher at Toluca Lake EEC. I am continuing my education to further improve my teaching practices in hopes of one day being an ECE Principal.

I truly believe that the success of one’s life begins at the preschool level and I have dedicated my life to seeing that come to fruition with the children and families that I serve. Watching children develop socially, emotionally and intellectually on a daily basis is the most rewarding part of my career.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking, traveling, exploring wildlife, golf and scuba diving.

Teacher: Ms. Nina Jones

Hi, my name is Ms. Jones.  I've been a teacher at Toluca Lake EEC for over nine years now and I have been working for LAUSD for over 25 years. I started out as a teacher assistant for two years then went on to be a teacher. I worked in the following positions in LAUSD early education over the course of my career: a infant teacher, preschool teacher, school-age teacher, lead teacher, LAUP teacher and also in an administration position for one month until our school found a new principal at Joan Elam EEC.

So, as you see, I have a great love and passion for working with young children. I believe we are the foundation to promote early learning and success for young children to succeed in their educational growth and journey.

This individual is a Persian Jewish female who migrated from Iran to USA thirty years ago and has been working with young children for the last 22 years. I love working with children so I continued this path as my career.

I achieved my BA degree in The Science of Human Services in fall 2008. I had a pleasure to offer my service to a Persian Jewish community school in need of a bilingual teacher for 10 years in which I helped a lot of young children and their families to cope with the challenges in a new country.
